............Now Typing style will judge the emotions............

It may seem funny if I say that your typing style will tell about your emotions. But don’t take it as a joke. I am not kidding at all. Researchers from Islamic University of Technology in Bangladesh have developed new software or a computer programme which can recognise people’s emotions based on how they type.

Under this programme, the keystrokes are analysed along with characteristics to see if the typing could identify any of seven different emotional states. The seven emotional states are....

Till now the emotions recognised with most accuracy were joy and anger with 87 and 81 % of times respectively. In this part of the experiment, the text that the users typed did not come from a particular source assigned to them, but was collected during their regular computer use. The researchers used a special type of software that ran in the background to record all keys pressed by the users as well as the users' press and release times. The researchers then extracted 19 keystroke attributes from the collected data. Some of the attributes included typing speed in 5 second intervals and the time elapsed between when a particular key was pressed and released. To analyse the sample texts, the investigators used a standard database of words and sentences that were associated with the seven different emotional states.

In short, the word selection, speed of typing and the rhythm of typing mainly judge the emotions. So from now, when you type keep a close eye on your emotions otherwise the software will be needed to do so....
