Defence exercise of indian Armed forces : INDIAN NAVY VARUN- 18 Participating Countries- India and France Indian Naval Ships Mumbai and Trikand participated in the 16th edition of ‘Exercise Varuna’ with the French Navy in the South Western Indian Ocean on 19th March 2018.The main focus was to exercise a number of evolutions aimed at enhancing interoperability were conducted which included, manoeuvres, cross deck flying and medium range gun firing. IN-BN CORPAT- 18 Participating Countries- India and Bangladesh This exercise was held from 27th June to 3rd July 2018 concluded at Visakhapatanam. Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of the Naval Staff inaugurated the first edition of Indian Navy - Bangladesh Navy Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) on 27 June 2018, which is being instituted as an annual feature between the navies of both countries.The main event includes cross visits between participating units from both navies, training visit for BN personnel to INS Dega and Ship Handling
